Job Overview
We are a busy diesel repair shop in the Carson Valley. Located in Gardnerville, we are looking for a front desk person to help with office operations in a customer facing position. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills both in person and on the phone. Experience with computers is important, experience with auto repair would be great, and experience in a service writer position would be awesome.
Primary Duties
Answer phones and book appointments for customers, answer basic questions, or refer to service writer for support.
Greet customers and check in vehicles, answer basic questions.
Help create service orders and estimates using computer based guidance and input from service writers.
Convey information from technicians to customers clearly.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Handle cash transactions and process payments correctly.
Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and follow-ups to ensure complete satisfaction with services rendered.
Required Skills
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness and ability to increase skillset and take on greater responsibility for front office operations.
This is a FULL TIME, on-site position. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an hour for lunch between 12:00 - 1:00.
Pay starts at $20/hr, DOE
